Southend Care Ltd is a successful Local Authority Trading company located in the UK that has been successfully trading since 2017. We currently employ around 330 staff and have a turnover of approximately £12 million, supporting up to 1000 people a year.

A skilled and diverse board is key to our success, and we are seeking a new Chairperson to join the team and build on the achievements of the organisation. This is an exciting time to join the board, as we are also seeking a new non-executive and a Senior Officer level board member from the City Council.

We are looking for a senior leader with board experience and a strong commitment to the development of the health and social care sector. Successful applicants should already be operating at board level and be able to demonstrate a range of skills and experience, including values-based leadership and the ability to understand and interpret financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation
  • Ensure the effective governance and management of the company
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the City Council and other partners
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the company's strategy and business plan
