Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Engineer to join our client, a leading organization in the print industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining efficiency in all areas of the factory, including reactive and planned maintenance of industrial manufacturing machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive maintenance on automated production machinery
  • Contribute to and carry out preventive maintenance routines
  • Identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic or pneumatic systems
  • Develop cost-effective technical solutions
  • Participate in a weekend call-out rota
  • Improve machine efficiencies and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Analyze root causes of equipment failures
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience working in a small team and ability to deal with mechanical and electrical works
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including fault diagnosis and repair
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
  • Pneumatic skills and experience
  • Knowledge of HV/LV switchgear and electrical drives
  • Understanding of PLCs and their function
Desirable Skills
  • Apprentice-trained to ONC/HNC level or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Strong continuous improvement experience
