FEA Analyst

Launch Vehicle Project Position

We are looking for a skilled FEA Analyst to join our team in Scotland for a 6-month outside IR35 contract working on a launch vehicle project.

About the Project:

• The project involves performing structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations for composite and metallic components and assemblies.
• The design team will rely on your expertise to iterate concepts using sizing and optimization methods.
• You will be responsible for developing analysis and test plans from high-level requirements.
• You will provide support to hardware development and testing as needed.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of industry experience in analyzing mass-efficient structural parts for high-performance applications.
• Proficiency in one or more industry-standard FEA packages (preferably FEMAP-Nastran or Hypermesh-Optistruct).
• Ability to use CAD systems with an emphasis on geometry preparation for analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a contract position with a competitive benefits package.
