Agile .NET Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced .NET developer to join our team based in Edinburgh. This role will involve supporting our existing customers' websites and contributing to the development of new projects. The position offers a 3/2 hybrid working arrangement. Key responsibilities include website support, back-end development coordination, DevOps, and team collaboration to deliver the best service to our customers.

Key skills and experience include 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an agency environment, with demonstrable experience in .NET and Umbraco. Knowledge of version control software such as Git, basic Adobe Photoshop or XD skills, and up-to-date knowledge of industry needs such as cross-device layouts and page speed optimisation are also required. Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive mentality, ability to work to tight deadlines and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and a love of investigative and problem-solving tasks are essential. The role offers a salary dependent on experience, with an estimated $65,000 - $85,000, a generous benefits package including profit share, rewards, recognition, and additional holiday entitlement for birthdays and years of service. Key responsibilities include:
  • Website Support: Applying development fixes and enhancements to support existing websites.
  • Back-end development coordination: Ensuring a consistency of approach when working alongside back-end development partners.
  • DevOps: Supporting our team in maintaining our Hosting, Domain, and Licensing solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside Project Management, Design, Front- and Back-end Development teams to deliver the best possible service to 80 DAYS' customers.
Requirements include:
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience working in .NET and, ideally, with Umbraco specifically.
  • Knowledge of version control software such as Git.
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop or XD skills.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of industry needs such as cross-device, responsive layouts, and page speed optimisation.
  • An understanding of systems development life cycle processes, such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Knowledge of productivity tools such as Slack, Teams, Clickup, Trello, etc.
