We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Steward to join our team at Elton Liberal Club. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bar and events.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the Club for daily opening and closing, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
- Respond to incoming queries and address matters raised by members or guests, ensuring actions are recorded for review by the Manager.
- Maintain staff rotas, including time sheets and holidays, in collaboration with the Steward.
- Ensure sufficient and proficient staffing, with knowledge of our product range and pricing.
- Organize staffing of bars, maintain bars, and clean lines from the cellar on a weekly basis.
- Reconcile till roll totals daily, in liaison with the Steward and Manager.
- Assist in stock deliveries, checking and storing as required.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of Club activities and events.
- Excellent customer service credentials.
- Innovative with a positive can-do attitude.
- Experience in managing and training staff.
- Experience in bar stock and cellar management.
- Local residency is an advantage due to key holder responsibilities and occasional cover for staff holidays.
This full-time position includes evening, weekend, and Bank Holiday hours, offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience. A six-month probation period applies.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake any reasonable Committee request for work of a similar level, not specified here, and participate in relevant training.
