Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Capital Expenditure Buyer to join our dynamic team working on a major Electrical Arc Furnace project in Port Talbot. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the procurement and supply chain processes required to deliver a state-of-the-art EAF, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

As a key member of the project team, you will take ownership of sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for key equipment and services required for the EAF, liaising closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to align with project specifications and timelines. This includes negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to secure cost-effective and high-quality agreements, while mitigating risks to the project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of large-scale industrial equipment and systems, ideally including electrical arc furnaces or similar technologies. They will also have strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and contracts effectively, as well as experience with EPC contracts. Additionally, proficiency in procurement systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential for this role.

The salary for this position is £60K + Package, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals looking to advance their careers in industrial procurement.
