Rullion is partnering with Drax, a leading renewable energy company, to find a talented Graduate Process Safety Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a technical safety and process safety strategy to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Provide technical safety and process safety expertise to improve process safety, plant integrity, reliability, and statutory & regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate hazards and risks.
- Lead site COMAH compliance and root cause analysis facilitation.
- Manage and facilitate technical safety studies, such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and OBRA.
- Educate and train colleagues on process safety concepts.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an engineering or technical subject, with a chemical background being beneficial. They will possess excellent communication and influencing skills, be a good team player, and have a good degree of emotional intelligence.
Experience in the power or related industry, detailed knowledge of High Hazard/COMAH sites, and associated technical hazards and risks are required. The candidate will also need to have Health, Safety, Environment, Engineering, technical safety, and Process Safety knowledge, skills, and experience.
