Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and will be responsible for providing senior clinical, managerial, and teaching cover for the Emergency Medicine department. Responsibilities:
* Provide senior clinical, managerial, and teaching cover for the Emergency Medicine department.
* Develop referral protocols for medical and nursing staff within the directorate.
* Lead clinical teams and manage their performance.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and guidelines.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
* Act as a role model and mentor for junior colleagues.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and maintain professional registration with the relevant authorities.
* Contribute to the delivery of our trust's strategic objectives and promote a culture of excellence and safety throughout the organisation.
* Perform other duties as required.
* Maintain accurate records and report incidents or near misses in accordance with trust policies and procedures.
