Management Accountant

Unipet International is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join their team in Sittingbourne, Kent. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial matters, including sales ledger and purchase ledger departments, credit control, cash management, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- Provide management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation, and post-implementation analysis.
- Produce annual statutory accounts in management accounts format.
- Negotiate on major projects, loans, and grants.
- Report on company assets and liabilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Manage ledger clerks, including day-to-day communication and motivation, as well as performance management.
- Maintain a full understanding of the legal requirements required within the department and also within the business to operate with full legal compliance.
- An understanding of modern management information systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.
- Intellectual with strong commercial acumen.
- Time management skills.
