Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Invasive Cardiology Technician to join our cardiac unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures, including pacemaker implantation and follow up.

  • Pacemaker implantation and follow up
  • Haemodynamic and ECG monitoring during coronary angiography and PCI
  • Pressure wire assessment
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump management
  • Perform and report on exercise testing
  • Assist with the fitting of ambulatory ECG, including 24hr/7 day monitors and 24hr blood pressure monitors

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality patient care. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate clinical records and providing clinical supervision as required.

Requirements:

We require a Clinical Physiologist registered with the RCCP, with a BTEC ONC and HNC Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement and/or BSc Clinical Science/Physiology or equivalent experience. A valid Immediate Life Support certificate is also essential.
