Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Development Engineer to join our R&D team in Wellingborough. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of new products using SolidWorks CAD software and ANSYS simulation tools.
  • Conduct modal and harmonic analyses on our product range.
  • Provide technical support to the R&D team in research, development, and testing of instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on future development tasks for various products.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an IMechE accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, dynamics, thermodynamics, and fluids.
  • Typically 3 years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in new product development.
  • Familiarity with simulation software, particularly ANSYS, conducting stress, thermal, and modal analyses.
  • Prior experience in designing precision industrial instruments and/or process plant equipment is beneficial.

Compensation:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including bonus scheme, private medical, and life assurance.
