Business Operations Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our accounts team, working for a well-known manufacturing and electrical installation company servicing the water and waste-water sector, employing around 50 staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Posting invoices to Sage accounts
  2. Managing customer relationships
  3. Assisting with bank reconciliations
  4. Creating contract numbers
  5. Updating customer files and excel sheets
  6. Answering telephone calls
  7. Supporting year-end stock control

Skills and Qualifications Required

To be successful in this role, you must have proficiency in Sage accounting software or equivalent, general accountancy skills, good communication skills including excellent telephone manner, confidence in speaking to customers/suppliers, and Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be paid an hourly rate of £13.00, with flexible working hours (2430hrs p/w) agreed upon with the successful candidate. We offer a range of benefits, including 30 days paid holiday, pension contribution, death in service, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, annual bonus depending on personal and company performance, and training provided if required. The estimated salary for this position is approximately £26,700 per annum.
