Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to join our team at Verus Recruitment Partners in Sheffield, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing QA team and ensuring the highest possible quality of releases.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a QA role with PC/Console QA experience, proven successful experience in team management, excellent QA reporting and KPI tracking, and strong proficiency in the usage of spreadsheets, MS Office, and PC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of testers and test leads on PC and Console game projects.
  • Develop QA plans, processes, and best practices to ensure high quality of releases.
  • Plan and manage QA resources, i.e., team and devices, to optimal levels.
  • Create optimal project delivery schedules and manage project delivery timelines.
  • Foster and own external QA support relationships, including outsource partners and 1st party Certification.
  • Communicate with development teams, production heads, and stakeholders and conduct meetings to update on project progress and status.
  • Assess risks, develop day-to-day practices, and deliver QA projects with high-quality standards.
  • Train, coach, and mentor leads and testers to ensure growth.
  • Lead constant learning and development initiatives to drive departmental improvements.
  • Conduct team stand-ups and activities for overall involvement.
  • Build and track key department KPIs.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports keeping stakeholders informed of the departmental progress.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time permanent role offering a competitive salary range of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a range of benefits including:
