Our IT Architecture Support role involves working closely with the IT Architecture team to deliver and maintain the IT architecture vision, roadmap, and baseline for SSE plc. The successful candidate will assist in managing the architecture backlog, ensuring alignment with the strategic roadmap, and producing high-quality architecture deliverables and visions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in prioritizing, tracking, and updating architecture backlog items to ensure they are clear, concise, and aligned with architecture principles and standards.
  • Support the IT Architecture team in maintaining and updating the architecture baseline, documenting and communicating changes, and performing quality checks on architecture artifacts.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of the IT architecture strategic roadmap, identifying gaps and opportunities, and defining architecture transition initiatives.
  • Assist in producing and presenting architecture deliverables, creating and refining architecture diagrams, and preparing architecture presentations and reports.

Requirements:

  • Studying for, or having graduated with, a degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, information technology and systems, software engineering and development, technology risk and audit, cyber security, cloud, data science, data analytics, statistics, architecture, or service management.
