The Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the Parish Support Team, you will provide accounting support to the Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance and Education Services under direct supervision of the Senior Finance Officer and the Schools Estates and Finance Officer.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organisation. You will be responsible for administering procedures for payment of clergy remuneration and pension contributions, maintaining records of clergy sickness absence, completing Gift Aid and GASDS claims, and providing support to PCC Treasurers in managing parish accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer procedures for payment of clergy remuneration and pension contributions.
  • Maintain records of clergy sickness absence and report on same.
  • Complete Gift Aid and GASDS claims for the Diocese.
  • Provide support to PCC Treasurers in managing parish accounts.
  • Record and bank all income received.
  • Maintain and develop school building financial reporting systems.
  • Provide financial information to senior managers to assist in strategic decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, tax, accounting standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • AAT or equivalent accounting degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance role, preferably within the education finance sector.
  • Able to communicate financial information accurately with a range of different people, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.

£25,123 to £27,652 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
