Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Test Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality and performance of our Azure-based data solutions.
- Validate Data Pipelines and Storage Solutions: Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability by testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
- Perform Functional and Integration Testing: Test Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database, to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Developers: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in our data solutions.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for Test Management: Leverage Azure DevOps to manage test plans, test cases, and defects tracking, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
- Create Automated Test Scripts: Develop automated test scripts to ensure continuous validation of data pipelines and workflows, reducing manual testing efforts and improving overall quality.
- Conduct Performance Testing: Perform performance testing to ensure our data solutions meet required performance benchmarks, ensuring optimal data processing and retrieval.
- Validate Data Consistency and Security: Ensure data consistency between source and destination systems, and adhere to data security, privacy, and governance policies during testing processes.
- Generate and Review Test Reports: Create and review comprehensive test reports, providing insights to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
- 3+ Years of Experience in Data Testing: A minimum of 3 years of experience in data testing, with at least 1 year of experience in Azure data services.
- Hands-on Experience with Azure Data Tools: Proficiency in Azure data tools, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Database.
- Proficient in SQL for Data Validation: Strong skills in SQL for data validation, transformation, and extraction.
- Experience with Test Automation Tools: Experience with test automation tools, such as Selenium, Postman, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration and test management.
- Strong Understanding of ETL Processes: A solid understanding of ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Experience with API Testing and Data Governance: Experience with API testing and data governance frameworks, including GDPR and HIPAA.
- Excellent Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
