We are seeking an exceptional nurse leader with expertise in service development to drive excellence in Cardiac Services at Wythenshawe Hospital. This key nursing post will support the Divisional Head of Nursing in leading a team of highly skilled professionals to improve patient care and staff experience.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. They must be clinically credible, able to manage competing priorities, and have evidence-based practice knowledge. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.

Suitable candidates will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver responsive individualised patient care, developing and supporting nursing staff to respond to the transforming nursing agenda. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse leader to make a real difference in the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead the nursing contribution at a senior level in line with the MFT Strategy and People Plan.
  • To develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and staff experience.
  • To work closely with multidisciplinary teams and relevant departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • To support the Divisional Head of Nursing in achieving departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • NMC registration as a first-level nurse.
  • Appropriate teaching qualification or graduate in a health-related subject.
  • Significant operational management experience at Matron level or above within Urgent and Emergency Care.
  • Relevant Master's degree or working towards.

Salary Information

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
