Kitchen Operations Manager

The Carpenter Arms is a thriving neighbourhood pub in the heart of Cambridge, renowned for its excellent food and warm hospitality. As our new Sous Chef, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the success of our bustling kitchen.

Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:

Your role as Sous Chef will involve:
- Working closely with the Head Chef to manage stock and food costs, identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
- Ensuring all food is prepared to an exemplary standard, maintaining high levels of quality and presentation
- Overseeing hygiene and health and safety within the kitchen, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Training and coaching the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food preparation and service
- Monitoring and managing labour costs to achieve a strong food margin and labour budget
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 18 months' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy food operation
- A passion for delivering excellent food quality and customer service
- Strong leadership skills, including motivating and developing a team
- A desire to develop your career with a well-established company
