Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at Hudson Shribman. As a key member of our global R&D team, you will play a crucial role in delivering strategic priorities in extraction by utilizing state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement extraction capabilities, including method development to achieve target specifications.
  • Utilize HPTLC, SFE, and distillation techniques to support technical developments in extraction.
  • Work at scale to develop methods for tracing manufacturing consistency in accordance with quality standards.
  • Build a robust patent portfolio from a process and extract composition angle.
  • Verify sample specifications for consumer research and conduct ageing studies.
  • Develop methods to enhance process ESG metrics and manage stock and analytical data.
  • Closely monitor emerging extraction technologies and potential external partners.
Requirements:
  • PhD in chemistry or a related field with a strong background in natural product research.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in various extraction technologies, including solvent extraction and SFE.
  • Strong knowledge of detection methods, including LC/MS and HP-TLC.
  • Good knowledge of chromatography science, including thin layer chromatography, SFC, liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and spectrophotometry techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in standard lab testing, including density and pH measurements.
  • Proven strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to influence long-term project success.
  • Successful collaboration among diverse cultures, good initiative, and independent thinking.
  • Effective communication, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Resilient, flexible, and confident to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
