We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Newport, Shropshire. This is a fixed-night shift role, working Sunday and Monday nights, offering a competitive hourly rate of £27 per hour.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and facilities through planned maintenance and prompt response to any issues that arise.
- Perform all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks according to schedule.
- Carry out reactive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Conduct repairs, adjustments, and inspections to maintain operational efficiency.
- Support production teams by ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and documentation.
- Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure the facility remains fully operational.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on a night shift schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.
