Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Support Office Manager to join our team at the DCC. As a Programme Support Office Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our programmes and ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the PSO vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the DCC's strategic objectives.
  • Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement within Service Delivery, establishing and enforcing project management standards and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain programme management frameworks, templates, and guidelines.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for success, providing regular reports and updates to senior leadership on status, risks, and issues.
  • Deputise for Programme Directors within DCC and at regulatory forums as needed, on programme-specific matters.
  • Hold external suppliers to account on reporting, milestone completion, and dependencies.
  • Line manage a small team of embedded PSO Analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of programmes.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading programme support or project management offices in complex, multi-faceted programmes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong line management experience in a high-pressure, challenging environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gain credibility with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and Excel, with proficiency in Project Management tools such as MS Project and Clarity.
