We are seeking an experienced HGV Vehicle and Trailer Mechanic to join our team at XPO Logistics, Inc. in Runcorn. This is a full-time role with a 45-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, on day shifts.

As a Vehicle and Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard. You will also diagnose faults using manufacturers' computer systems and perform a wide range of defect repairs.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an HGV Mechanic role and relevant qualifications, such as BTEC or City & Guilds. A full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement is desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £42,420 depending on experience, with additional overtime available at a premium rate. You will also receive holiday pay and access to various perks, including a workplace pension and cycle to work scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles and trailers.
  2. Diagnose faults using manufacturers' computer systems.
  3. Perform a wide range of defect repairs, from replacing bulbs to replacing brake discs and pads.
