Job Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly accruals in an accurate and timely manner
  • Preparing monthly deferred/accrue income
  • Reviewing and sense-checking of monthly transactions and P&L performance
  • Assisting in analysis and forecasting for the brands
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Recording fixed assets
  • Comparing analysis on monthly MI reporting
  • Applying accruals and prepayments
  • Overseeing the accounts assistant's Purchase/Sales Ledger
  • Developing and improving reporting packs for key stakeholders within the SLT of the brand
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Involvement in projects and continuous improvement in Finance
  • Managing new and existing supply chain (Accounts/Terms)
  • Reporting on specific project or department performance
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Preparing and issuing monthly management accounts capturing P&L performance in month and year to date, along with movement in the balance sheet
  • Preparing, monitoring, and managing the STCFF on a regular basis, along with careful monitoring of the LTCFF, ensuring a clear action plan is in place to maintain a positive cash balance
  • Working with the commercial team to ensure the Project CVRs align with the respective ledger positions and that direct costs are captured accurately on a project-by-project basis
  • Ensuring subcontract costs are charged in line with accrued positions and certified (by the commercial team) ahead of payment
  • Understanding the payment provision set out in the JCT and NEC construction contracts
  • Developing and embedding transparent subcontract and procurement ledgers that balance to the company's P&L and balance sheet, providing management with a clear understanding of the liability in the supply chain
  • Working with the commercial team to ensure customers are credit-checked, valuation dates are agreed, and invoicing is done promptly, aligning with the STCFF
  • Liaising with HMRC on CIT arrangements
  • Developing business systems in relation to business units
Requirements
  • Qualified in CIMA/ACCA
  • Preferred experience in construction/fit-outs and knowledge of CIS
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment with high volumes
  • Management and development experience
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience of Xero and advanced Excel reporting, including pivot tables and complex formulae
  • Good attention to detail required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Great communication skills to relay key information to stakeholders
