Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team in Derbyshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the month-end process, preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role:
  • Manage the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate monthly management accounts are prepared, including variance analysis and robust balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders as part of the finance function of the business.
  • Prepare weekly P&Ls for all pub outlets, investigating variances and trends, and communicating with the operations team.
  • Oversee Leasehold pub exit program accounting requirements.
  • Supervise 1 member of staff, Senior EPOS administrator.
  • Provide key support to the business in terms of financial and commercial insights.
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, following up on reconciling items, and resolving these in a timely manner.
  • Support budgeting and planning cycles.
  • Hold regular discussions with the Head of Finance and CFO regarding risks and opportunities identified during the balance sheet review process.
About You:
  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Hospitality experience, ideally multi-site, including setting and managing budgets and forecasts, presenting analysis, and sound commercial decision-making.
  • Commercial mindset and knowledge of process improvement.
  • Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
