Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Desk Agent to join our busy IT Help Desk within the IM&T Department at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to staff members, ensuring that their IT issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming staff queries and requests via various communication channels
  • Manage computer access and account creation for staff members
  • Assist with the creation of NHS Registration Authority Accounts and Smartcards, including identity evidence checking
  • Liaise with technicians and other IM&T staff to resolve IT user requests
  • Support the development of guidance and process documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an IT environment, including hardware and software support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize workload
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a genuine interest in solving IT problems
