Join Our Team as a Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of vulnerable children and young people in our care.

About the Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential homes. Your primary focus will be on promoting their independence, wellbeing, and safety, while also providing emotional and practical support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
  • Promote independence and wellbeing, and provide emotional and practical support
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
  • Participate in weekend and evening activities to support the children's interests
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and wellbeing
  • Ensure the safety of young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
  • Support and learn from challenging incidents to minimize their impact
Requirements
  • A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months' experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
