Manpower RPO - Babcock is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Devonport, Plymouth.

About the Role

This 2-year Apprenticeship program will provide you with hands-on experience in quality assurance across diverse naval defense projects. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organization operates at its best by acting as the 'voice of the customer'. You will help maintain the highest standards, identify problems, and recommend improvements to ensure policies, processes, and products meet the highest standards.

You will be an integral member of our Quality Management function and work closely with senior quality practitioners to formulate quality strategies. Your typical day may involve carrying out external supplier inspections, identifying efficiencies or problem-solving on our production shop floor, or administering internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting senior quality practitioners to formulate quality strategies
  • Inspecting and testing parts and products
  • Planning and conducting audits
  • Developing quality control plans
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Analysing data to identify improvements
