About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Power Generation Management Specialist to join our team in the North West, working on a nuclear power station. The ideal candidate will have a specialism in the engineering of power generation and gas turbines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Support: Collaborate with commercial teams on bids and tenders, providing technical and costing expertise to secure new business opportunities.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of power generation facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintenance Oversight: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Performance Optimisation: Analyse operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Project Management: Manage capital projects related to power generation, including upgrades, retrofits, and new installations.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, clients, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Extensive experience in power generation, specifically with boilers and gas turbines.
- Proven track record in operations management and team leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a fixed-term contract initially for 6 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.
