Job Description:

Electrical Design Engineer

This is a customer-facing role for a highly skilled, qualified individual to pioneer innovations and advanced designs for food processing equipment. The Electrical Design Engineer will design electrical systems from scratch working with the Mechanical engineering team to broaden product versatility and improve systems performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems from scratch for food processing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical engineering team to broaden product versatility and improve systems performance.
  • Develop and implement electrical designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other equipment and systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical design and technology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
  • Proven track record of designing electrical systems for food processing equipment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Draftsight.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including gearboxes, motors, PLCs, and safety devices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Programming or coding experience.
  • Experience with food processing equipment electrical design.
  • Electro-Mechanically qualified and/or experience in systems design.
