Head of Drama Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance for a dedicated and talented individual to take on a leadership role in a prestigious school in Harrow. As the Head of Drama, you will be responsible for promoting creativity and excellence in Drama education, leading the Drama department, and creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Drama department, overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive and engaging Drama curriculum
  • Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that supports student development and growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement innovative Drama lessons and projects
  • Organize and direct school productions, performances, and events that showcase student talent
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
  • Support the professional development of Drama teachers and staff
  • Participate in extracurricular Drama activities and events that promote student engagement and enthusiasm
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialization in Drama or performing arts-related field
  • Postgraduate degree in Drama or Drama Education (preferred)
  • Proven experience teaching Drama, preferably at the secondary level
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  • Passion for promoting creativity and excellence in Drama education
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in Drama education and the arts
