About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Policy Development Lead to join our team at Autism Together.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of influencing policy and frameworks, with a strong understanding of the Care Industry.

  • Influencing policy development across Operations, People Services, Estates, and Finance to ensure evidence-based policies.
  • Developing Autism Together's position on key regulatory policy aspects by managing policies related to Operational, People Services, Estates, and Finance.
  • Critical thinking skills to address complex issues and find solutions.
  • Drafting policy changes for the Executive Team regarding health and social care professional regulation and other regulatory policies affecting Autism Together.
  • Managing and supporting policy programme projects aligned with Charity priorities.
  • Staying up-to-date with UK professional regulation developments to enhance policy development.
  • Maintaining informed communication with the Chief Executive and Executive Directors on significant health, care, and regulation matters impacting policy development.
  • Implementing ways to support and encourage policy implementation and regulation compliance within the Charity.
  • Addressing contentious or sensitive issues with Head of People, Chief Executive, and Directors to protect the Charity's reputation through proactive policy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing complex facts and situations to develop various options.
  • Project management experience, including risk delivery and quality assurance.
  • Communicating complex information to stakeholders.
