Aspire People are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to work with children with high Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Nursery and Reception classes. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and be able to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

This is a 5-day per week position, starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to work long-term or on a day-to-day basis. Our client school values a collaborative approach and is committed to providing support for staff to develop their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting teachers in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and attainment
  • Providing feedback to pupils on their progress and setting achievable goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2+ Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferred)
  • An enthusiastic and motivated approach to teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to provide at least 2 references covering a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS disclosure (or willing to apply for one)
