About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator to join our team at Manpower UK - RISE. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing import and export shipments from start to finish, ensuring the highest level of service and meeting all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating Worldwide Multimodal Imports & Exports: Working to strict deadlines, you will be responsible for coordinating worldwide multimodal imports and exports, including collections, airline bookings, and liaising with overseas agents and customers until delivery.
  • Building Strong Customer Relationships: You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Airline and Agent Booking: You will be responsible for booking and processing relevant import/export documentation, including Air Waybills (AWBs) and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Customs Clearance: You will be responsible for obtaining the correct customs details to enable our in-house team to clear shipments.
  • Liaising with Supply Chain Partners: You will be responsible for liaising effectively with our supply chain partners to build close relationships and ensure smooth operations.
  • Quotations, Pricing, and Invoicing: You will be responsible for providing quotations, pricing, and invoicing clients for our services.
  • Courier Shipments: You will be responsible for arranging and booking courier shipments, including track and trace updates to our in-house Transportation Management System (TMS).
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 Year's Experience in Freight Forwarding: You must have a minimum of 1 year's experience in freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of import and export operations.
  • Dangerous Goods Training: While not essential, experience with dangerous goods training is beneficial.
  • Experience with Import and Export Freight Forwarding: You must have experience with both import and export freight forwarding, including air freight and sea freight operations.
  • Enthusiasm, Ambition, and Self-Motivation: You must be enthusiastic, ambitious, and self-motivated, with a desire to develop and progress in your career.
  • Experience with Air Import/Export Operations: You must have experience handling all aspects of air import/export operations, including back-to-back shipments, consolidations, and dangerous goods shipments.
