Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Housing Support Manager to provide on-site housing management, which enables people to live as independently with as much choice and control over their lives as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, lead, manage and support a team of site-based colleagues.
  • Responsible for all aspects of operational activity, including improving key performance around quality assurance, occupancy, debt, ASB management, customer engagement, complaint handling, safeguarding and compliance.
  • Contribute to and deliver the later living strategic plan at a local level and drive a continuous improvement culture while maintaining a focus on colleague competency and wellbeing.
  • Raise customer voice and encourage input to help shape services at a local level and build relationships with key stakeholders to support that delivery.
  • Ensure local service delivery is compliant with all regulatory, statutory, and internal governance/policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of providing services to older persons.
  • Good understanding of housing management.
  • Deliver advice and support to customers with a wide variety of needs.
  • Work effectively in partnership with external agencies, including the local authority.
  • Demonstrate significant knowledge of this customer group and type of service, including a good understanding of safeguarding.
  • Good administration skills, including the use of IT reporting and procurement systems.
  • Work with customers to provide a range of stimulating and interesting activities to support customers' wellbeing and promote a sense of community.
  • Work at weekends on a rota.
