**Vacancy Details**

The University of Essex is seeking a skilled craftsperson to join the Estates and Campus Services team. As a key member of the Building Team, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of maintenance tasks across the University's campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake reactive maintenance to ensure the continued provision of world-class teaching, research, and learning environments.
  • Work closely with the Building Team and external contractors to ensure day-to-day repairs are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the University's campuses, including buildings and grounds.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-training experience as a craftsperson in joinery or carpentry.
  • NVQ in Wood Occupations at Level 2 (Carpentry & Joinery) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety regulations.
