Role Overview

Get Staffed Online Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an annual finance work plan that aligns with reporting and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an annual finance work plan that aligns with reporting and business requirements
  • Develop relevant policies, procedures, tools, guidance, and training for budget holders
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements
  • Improve the month-end reporting process, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify and improve weaknesses in controls to maintain the accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Prepare annual budgets and future business planning, including liaison with budget holders and business analytics
  • Develop a robust budget monitoring timetable and core processes to ensure regular review of performance with budget holders
  • Hold regular meetings with budget holders as a business partner to support financial management
  • Prepare monthly management information, budget, and cash flow forecasts, and other reports and KPIs
  • Develop and deliver the annual year-end accounts closedown timetable
  • Assist in preparation of the annual statutory disclosures
  • Lead the liaison with external auditors to ensure the year-end audit is delivered to deadlines
  • Oversee quarterly VAT returns
  • Line Management: Line manage members of the Finance team, helping team members to identify and develop opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge in line with wider company objectives; Managing the team's well-being, absences, and sickness in line with company policies

Requirements

  • Qualified or Finalist, preferably ACA/ACCA
  • Experience managing a team
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Positive, curious, and caring, with an eye for detail and a focus on delivery
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • People-focused with a passion to develop others and grow as a team
