Job Overview: We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Physical Education department as Head of PE. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PE curriculum, leading a team of experienced teachers, and driving academic achievement across KS3-5.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designing and delivering a curriculum that meets the needs and wants of diverse student cohorts.
  • Leading a team of PE Teachers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions between year groups and departments.
  • Managing departmental resources and budgets, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • UK QTS and a strong understanding of the PE curriculum.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
  • Proven track record of driving academic achievement and improving pupil outcomes.
  • Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, using a range of mediums to engage and inform stakeholders.
