As an Automotive Vehicle Preparation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are meticulously prepared and polished to meet the highest standards of quality.
Compensation:
Vehicle Prepper - £16 per hour (£37,542 annually)
Vehicle Polisher - £15 per hour (£35,196 annually)
Location:
BCA Glasgow
Working Hours:
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00

Your Role:
In this position, you will collaborate with a skilled bodyshop team, ensuring that all vehicles are finished to the utmost quality for our clients. You will receive guidance and support from your supervisor and the Bodyshop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare vehicles for painting, including tasks such as masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
2. Ensure that all prepared panels are free from defects.
3. Polish newly painted panels, removing any dirt inclusions and ensuring the finish aligns with the original factory standard.
4. Remove scratches and rectify minor paint imperfections.
5. Execute substantial filler work as required.
6. Provide support in other workshop areas as needed.
7. Assist in training junior team members.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a bodyshop.
- A full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.
- A willingness to mentor junior cosmetic technicians and share your expertise.
- A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
