Job Summary:

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Principal Highways Design Engineer to join our Birmingham team. In this role, you will manage the design process for various projects, ensuring timely, high-quality designs that meet budgetary and client needs. Key responsibilities include overseeing project budgets, checking and authorising design information and reports, collaborating with Senior Management on projects across offices, and mentoring and supervising design staff. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills and experience in highway design environments, proven project management of highway projects, and working knowledge of DMRB, Civils 3D, and MicroDrainage software. Additionally, a UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design process for various projects
  • Oversee project budgets and ensure financial accountability
  • Check and authorise design information and reports
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on projects across offices
  • Mentor and supervise design staff
  • Develop highway contracts and deal with technical issues at a senior level

Requirements:
