About the Role
As a Family Intervention Specialist with Devon County Council, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides targeted support to vulnerable families in need of early help. Your role will involve working closely with families to identify and address their strengths and challenges, with the aim of reducing multiple and complex needs and improving outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a whole-family approach to support, working with parents, children, and wider family members to build on their strengths and address challenges.
- Use evidence-based tools and practices to assess and address the needs of families, with a focus on strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a coordinated and effective response to family needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, based on trust, respect, and active listening.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people, and to reduce the need for statutory intervention.
