Job Summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Direct and supervise production and manufacturing activities to meet established process and product specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure a safe work environment for employees that meets or exceeds regulatory compliance levels.
    • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Work with suppliers to recommend equipment and supplies needed to maintain an efficient and up-to-date manufacturing facility.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Engineering and Maintenance
    • Coordinate engineering on new projects and existing equipment upgrades.
    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets to ensure compliance with company financial goals.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide guidance and support to supervisors to maintain satisfactory employee and labor relations.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.
  • Proven track record of improving efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
