Senior Test Development Engineer – £50k-£65k – Cambridgeshire – Test Rig Design

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a leading robotics and automation company to find experienced Test Development Engineers. In this role, you will design and develop custom test rigs for comprehensive testing. Your expertise will guide the creation of reliable and robust systems through the development of unique test environments, hands-on testing, and experimental methodologies. You'll be involved in electro-mechanical assembly, and testing of components, systems, and later transfer to manufacture.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and build bespoke test rigs for comprehensive testing

• Perform hands-on testing and experimental work to ensure reliability and robustness

• Assemble and test electro-mechanical devices, and transfer to manufacture

• Lead design verification and reliability testing to ensure high-quality systems

• Develop test scripts and facilitate transfer to manufacture

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in designing and building bespoke test rigs

• Strong technical analysis and documentation skills

• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing

• Proven experience in reliability testing methodologies

• Ability to develop test scripts and facilitate transfer to manufacture

The salary for this role will be between £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience, with a generous benefits package including bonus, private medical, and good pension.
