We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to join our Neuropsychology Department at the renowned Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre.

This is a full-time permanent position, offering a structured framework for acquiring the knowledge, skills, and experience required to progress to Band 8a once competencies have been met.

As a Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist, you will play a vital role in our growing and innovative neuropsychology department, working as part of a friendly and supportive team.

Our multidisciplinary team includes neurorehabilitation medicine, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, and social activities coordinators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention for inpatients with neurological conditions
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of rehabilitation and condition management programmes
  • Undertaking assessment of capacity for individual patients and providing advice to other health professionals
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring formal psychological intervention plans for patients' emotional difficulties
  • Undertaking risk assessment and risk management for individual patients and providing advice to other health professionals
  • Providing specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other health professionals
  • Exercising autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, formulation, and clinical interventions with patients

Requirements include:

  • HCPC registration
  • Enrolled or interested in post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Experience of clinical practice within a neurological service setting
  • Band 8a candidates will require experience in carrying out and interpreting neuropsychological assessments
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver complex and/or clinically sensitive information
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS
