Job Title: Multi Trade Operative

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our team at Prima Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for completing a range of repairs, maintenance, and improvement works in occupied and void properties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of repairs, maintenance, and improvement works, including kitchen and bathroom replacements.
  • Carry out responsive repair and void works as required.
  • Locate properties in various surrounding areas and effectively use a map and take directions.
  • Organize daily jobs effectively and independently, taking into consideration job priority and appointments made.
  • Assist colleagues in ensuring timely completion of jobs.
  • Document all orders and job sheets efficiently and produce accurate reports regarding works undertaken and properties visited.
  • Communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
  • NVQ level 3 is desirable.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Takes pride in quality of work.
  • Demonstrates drive and resilience.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated.
  • Quality and Efficiency Focused.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Competent in at least 3 of the following trades, two must be Joinery / Plumbing with the third from Plastering or Tiling.
  • Must be methodical, accurate, and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, both generally and with another multi-trade operative.
  • High degree of initiative to complete jobs by target date.
  • Ability to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
  • Working to deadlines and agreed targets.
  • Full awareness of relevant H&S requirements and considerations.
  • Dealing with members of the public on a regular basis.
  • Excellent standards of communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working with Housing Associations and delivering repairs is desirable.
  • Full driving license.
