Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry South East Midlands, based in Enderby, Leicestershire. As a key member of our commercial delivery team, you will be responsible for assisting the Surveying department with cost management for residential development schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the compilation of tender packages for sub-contract trades.
  • Receive and analyze tenders, comparing levels and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Liaise with the Build Department to monitor sub-contractors' performance and compliance with order conditions.
  • Assist with the production of sub-contract orders, ensuring alignment with site programmed build requirements and Group Rebate schemes.
  • Provide forecast and site budget information to meet business reporting requirements.
  • Control and report post-contract cost movements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Process invoices and applications for payments in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
  • Advise management of impending claims or legal actions arising from disputed claims or payments.
  • Assist in determining sub-contract orders, ensuring compliance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Employment.
  • Manage site project administration, including orders, variations, valuations, and retention releases.
  • Settle variation invoices and applications for payment, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Assist with the preparation and agreement of sub-contract final accounts.
