At CSS Recycling LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling equipment and machinery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have previous experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining our plant machinery, including shredders, granulators, and conveyor belts.

You will also be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, welding activities, and dealing with breakdowns and unplanned problems. A strong understanding of electrical systems and fault-finding skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain plant machinery, including shredders, granulators, and conveyor belts
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently
  • Deal with breakdowns and unplanned problems, using fault-finding skills to identify and repair issues
  • Perform welding activities as required
  • Check functionality of safety systems
Requirements
  • Previous experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
  • Experience in repairing mobile plant, such as forklifts
  • Background in Lorries (HGV) maintenance or any vehicle maintenance (advantageous)
  • Experience in repairing equipment such as conveyor belts, industrial shredders, granulators
  • Experience in repairing/maintaining industrial equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (advantageous)
  • Welding skills
  • Fault-finding skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English required
  • Physically fit
  • UK Driving License
