We are seeking an exceptional Electrical Engineering Lead to join our team at Pertemps Bristol Industrial.

  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver product requirements
  • Support the NPI manager to ensure the team have the correct knowledge and identify training needs
  • Work together with the project leader in development of project plans to meet project deliverables
  • Ensure Control and Coordination of the engineering design to meet specifications, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet the prime cost & product requirements.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a good Engineering/Scientific degree and significant experience in the process of product development in a high technology environment, including leading engineering activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the system design intent, approve designs, calculations, and test specification.
  • Engineering risk identification, control and mitigation, escalate and to agree appropriate higher-level mitigation.
  • Make engineering decisions selecting the best solution to engineering problems.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external customers / suppliers.

Requirements

  • A good Engineering/Scientific degree
  • Significant experience in the process of product development in a high technology environment, including leading engineering activities
  • Detailed knowledge of engineering principles and standards relative to the role
  • Experience of project coordination and management of teams - including leadership skills, high levels of energy with team engagement.
  • Knowledge of process improvement
  • Technical/commercial awareness to balance potentially conflicting commercial and technical drivers.
