Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering and Technical Director to lead our engineering and technical teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Align the efforts of the engineering and technical teams with the overall business objectives.
  • Foster Innovation and Collaboration: Encourage a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the engineering department.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent.
  • Manage Engineering Toolsets: Create and mature engineering toolsets and design processes.
  • Lead and Mentor Teams: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a high level of performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Establish Best Practices: Establish and distil engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes from an engineering and technical perspective.
  • Drive Quality and Excellence: Drive a culture of quality and excellence across all engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in engineering, preferably systems, electrical, control, or power engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior leadership role within engineering or technical management.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies, software development methodologies, and engineering best practices in highly regulated industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performance teams.
