Job Title: Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Commercial team in London. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Real Estate/Property Owners book of business, working closely with our broking partners and clients to provide effective products and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing partners and establish new relationships to grow our Real Estate/Property Owners portfolio.
  • Perform extensive account analysis, including thorough review of underwriting applications, consideration of risk management protocols, and research via online services.
  • Authorise quotes, binders, and invoices in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure timely and correct issuance of bound policies.
  • Supervise work to Underwriters and responsible for the professional development and training of assigned team members.
  • Attend client/broker meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social outings to build strong working relationships.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of demonstrable experience underwriting commercial combined or property business.
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of pricing & actuarial models and methods.
  • Highly articulate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong marketing and business development capability.
  • Highly computer literate within MS office applications and an advanced level proficiency using underwriting systems.
