Lead Data Scientist

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Data Scientist to join our Data Science team. As a key member of our team, you will be empowered to lead the delivery of key data science initiatives, combining insights gained from multiple large data sources with the contextual understanding and experience of our colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of data science initiatives, working closely with internal teams to identify and prioritize projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Manage and coach a team of data scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to drive business value.
- Strong statistical background and expertise in Python.
- Experience in leading data science initiatives from concept to production.
- Strong SQL skills, with exposure to Snowflake desirable.
- Ability to create clear data visualizations in tools such as Tableau.
- Experience in data governance, data quality, and data strategy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
